WHY STUDY PHYSICS?

Physicists study the principles of energy and their action on matter. Their knowledge of physics enable them to help analyze and propose solutions to the environmental problems such as food shortage, pollution, and harmful effects of radiation. It is through their initial efforts that we enjoy the convenience of modern home appliances, ease and safety of travel, the speed of communication, bountiful harvests through mechanized farming, use of laser and ultrasonics in medical diagnosis and therapy, and prosperity in commerce and industry. Thus, PHYSICISTS OPEN UP SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY.
